Description	:	The son of Burr Peyton McConnaha, Sr. and Sarah Caroline Masten, he was born in Arcata, California. On August 13, 1894 Burr married Lottie Pass in Bayside, California. One child, Gweneth Dale McConnaha was born to this couple but lived less than three months. The marriage ended and Burr became very depressed. However, he was able to put his life back together and married Grace Dell Pinkham on 18 May 1902 in Arcata, California. Read More	The son of Burr Peyton McConnaha, Sr. and Sarah Caroline Masten, he was born in Arcata, California. On August 13, 1894 Burr married Lottie Pass in Bayside, California. One child, Gweneth Dale McConnaha was born to this couple but lived less than three months. The marriage ended and Burr became very depressed. However, he was able to put his life back together and married Grace Dell Pinkham on 18 May 1902 in Arcata, California. Although childless, the couple helped raise their nephew, George Melvin "Pinkey" Pinkham. Burr Jr. started out as a packer for a shingle mill. In 1902 he bought the Flaherty's livery stable in Trinidad and started a horse-drawn stage line to Requa. Following this success he began a line to Orleans, carrying mail as well as passengers. When autos arrived he purchased four Pierce-Arrows and extended his route to Crescent City (Pickwick Stage Line). The company later became the City Garbage Company which was managed by his nephew, Melvin George Pinkham. In 1909 he went into business with his brother Clarence ("Cal"). Together they purchased a farm near Martin's Ferry and engaged in stock raising, dairying, walnut trees and a saw mill. In 1910 they opened a general store in Trinidad and the following year built a shingle mill.
