Description	:	WOODWORTH, Buster L. - New Minas, Kings Co., formerly of Wolfville, Kings Co., passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2004, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Hemford, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Oran and Elreta (Snyder) Woodworth. He was married on February 9, 1952, to the former Pauline Emino, moved with his family to Wolfville, and in 1999 they relocated to New Minas. Read More	WOODWORTH, Buster L. - New Minas, Kings Co., formerly of Wolfville, Kings Co., passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2004, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Hemford, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Oran and Elreta (Snyder) Woodworth. He was married on February 9, 1952, to the former Pauline Emino, moved with his family to Wolfville, and in 1999 they relocated to New Minas. He retired from Maritime Tel & Tel after 35 years of service. Buster was always involved in community services and in 2001 was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by the Wolfville Rotary Club for his involvement in the community. In addition to being a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Wolfville, he also held life memberships with Lions International, the Wolfville and District Lions Club, the C.N.I.B., and the Nova Scotia Trappers Association. He was a past District Governor of District 41-N2 Lions Club of Nova Scotia, past Council Chairman for Multiple District 41, a Melvin Jones Fellow of Lions, and a recipient of the Lion's Second highest award, the International Presidential medal. Throughout his involvement with the Lions, Buster sponsored 51 new Lions members. He served on the Wolfville Town Council, was a Chairman of Wolfville Tourism, and served on the boards of Kings Transit, the Nova Scotia Power Commission, the Annapolis Valley Works Activity, the Valley Regional Hospital and the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital. He also served with the Wolfville Fire Department and was a leader in the Boy Scout Association. In June of 2002 he received the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal. He is survived by his wife and best friend, the former Pauline Emino; daughters, Marsha (Roy) Brown, New Minas; Marilyn D'Eon, Kentville; son, Mike (Diane), Toronto, Ont.; sister, Geraline "Hitty" Varner, New Germany; grandchildren, Lori Jennison, Calgary; Amy Jennison, New Minas; Joey and Rebecca D'Eon, Kentville; Evan Woodworth, Toronto; special uncle, Milton Snyder, Hemford; special aunt, Eileen Snyder, New Minas; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Allan; brothers, Kenneth, Bruce, and Glen; sister, Norene and an infant sister, Pauline. There will be no visitation by family request. A Lion's service followed by a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, in St. Andrew's United Church, Wolfville, Rev. Robyn Brown-Hewitt, Rev. Dewis Rector and Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Private family burial will take place in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may be made to the Buster L. Woodworth Community Service Bursary, c/o Wolfville and District Lions Club, 36 Elm Street, Wolfville, NS, B4P 1Z9.
