Davis was born in Canandagus [sic], New York, August 20, 1871 and departed this life, November 19, 1937 at Loup City at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 29 days. He came to Nebraska with his parents in 1884 and located at Fairmont, Nebraska. He united with the Congregational church at Fairmont when a boy and later coming by letter to the Presbyterian church of Loup City. He was united in marriage in 1893 with Nannie A. Davis was born in Canandagus [sic], New York, August 20, 1871 and departed this life, November 19, 1937 at Loup City at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 29 days. He came to Nebraska with his parents in 1884 and located at Fairmont, Nebraska. He united with the Congregational church at Fairmont when a boy and later coming by letter to the Presbyterian church of Loup City. He was united in marriage in 1893 with Nannie A. Thompson of Fairmont. To this union eight children were born, Frances Meyer of Oak, Nebr., Goldia Hagman of St. Paul, Clade Oldham of Ithaca, Susie Skibinski of Grand Island, John Byron of Oklahoma City, Okla., Zelotes T. of Grants Pass, Oregon, Nina at home, and Charles Henry who preceeded [sic] him in death. Mr. Davis came to Loup City in 1918 where he resided until his passing. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. lodge number 166 of Loup City, The Encampment and Patriarch Militant. He was a kind and loving husband and father and leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, seven children, twenty-one grand children, one great grand son and a brother, C. A. Davis of York. Prayer services were held at the Steele Funeral Home Saturday, November 20, at 2 P. M., conducted by Rev. L. M. Harwood and funeral services at the Federated church in Fairmont, 2 P.
