She had been a dinner guest in the home of her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stoutenburg, northwest of town, and had appeared in an unusually happy and cheerful mood before the summons came with a very slight warning. Medical aid was summoned and everything possible was done for her relief, but without avail. Coyla Eileene Waterbury, daughter of Harry and Alice Waterbury, was born July 10, 1909, in Akron, and spent her entire life here, attaining the age of 47 years, 3 months and 26 days. She attended Akron public school and was graduated with the Class of 1920. For a number, of years she worked in a local cafe and for the past ten years has been a faithful employed of the Thorson Drug Store, where she won the friendship of many people of all ages. In spite of poor physical health, Eileene was a pleasant and cheerful person who proved a source of encouragement to many people. She will be missed by all who knew her. Miss Waterbury united with Wesley Methodist church at the age of thirteen, and has been sustained through her life by a strong Christian faith. She was also a member of the W.S.C.S. and of the V.P.W. Auxiliary. Surviving are her brother, M. Sgt. John.H. Waterbury, of El Paso, Texas, an aunt, Mrs. Alanson Baker, of Akron; two nephews, several cousins and other relatives, to whom sympathy is offered in their bereavement. Funeral Services were held at Wesley Methodist church Wednesday morning, and were attended by a great number of relatives and friends of the deceased. Rev. Chester L. Guinn was in change of the service. Musical numbers consisted of a vocal solo by Mrs. Esther Ferguson, who sang "The Twenty-third, Psalm", and; a selection by a mixed quartet comprised of Mrs. Mary Lundberg, Mrs. J. R. Kerr, Gail Hemmingsen and; Harry B.. Nelson, who sang "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me." Mrs. Alberta Malkin was accompanist. Serving as pallbearers were Ford Hansen, Fay Kerr, Fred Marienau, MacDonald Thorson, Dr. C, E. Mason and Floyd Heider. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
