Suffering an attack of heart trouble while riding his horse on Jefferson street, Middletown, MR. CALVIN L. GAVER, one of the best-known horse and cattle dealers of the county, fell unconscious to the ground yesterday afternoon about 3:30 o'clock and expired several minutes afterward. Since his brother, Dr. William E. Gaver, of Mt. Airy, died several weeks ago, Mr. Gaver has worried considerably and it is thought that this had something to do with his own sudden and unexpected death. While he had been in apparently good health Mr. Gaver complained all day yesterday and went to Doctor E. L. Beckley for medical attention, saying that he was troubled with pains about the heart. In the early part of the afternoon he took his horse over to the blacksmith, Charles Crone, in Middletown, to be rough shod. He was leaving there, the work having been finished, when he was seized with the fatal attack. FOUND HIM UNCONSCOUS IN STREET. Just a few seconds after Mr. Gaver had fallen, from the horse, Mr. Crone the blacksmith noticed him lying in the street, the horse standing beside his unconscious form. He ran to his assistance. Mr, Gaver was carried into the home of Mr. Peter E. Bussard, in front of where he was stricken. The nearest doctor, Dr. Roy Hauver, was quickly summoned, but by the time he arrived life was extinct, death resulting almost immediately. It will be remembered that Dr. William E. Gaver, of Mt. Airy, a brother of the deceased, died very suddenly on New Year's eve while attending a patient. They were very close to each other and the latter so brooded over his brothers audden death that it is thought this brought him to an early grave, as he had always been in rather good health. WELL KNOWN IN COUNTY. Mr. Gaver had lived on his place, near Middletown and was well known throughout the county. Almost every day He would come to Middletown and stay until late at night. He was well thought of by all who knew him and he made friends everywhere. In business he was a member of the firm of Gaver and Crone, horse and cattle dealers, and had been engaged in this vocation for many years. He was single and abont 52-years of age. He is survived by two sisters and one brother, Dr. Grayson H. Gaver, a Baltimore and Ohio Railroad physician, located in Kentucky; Mrs. Albert Routzann, of Frederick, and Miss Vinnie Gaver, of Washington, D.C. The funeral will be held on Monday morning at 10.30 o'clock. The services will be at the house and will be conducted by Rev. G. A. Snyder. GAVER was held at his late residence, Middletown, yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. Dr. G. A. Snyder. Interment was made in the Reformed cemetery, Middletown. The pallbearers were all first cousins. They were: William Rudy, Frank Rudy, Edgar Rudy, Calvin R. Koogle, L. C. Lighter and John W. D. Koogle.
