Description	:	Find A Grave contributor Vicki Ventura made the following suggestion: Born 23 Jun 1890 as Charles L. Meadows, son of Francis "Frank" Meadows and Courtney Stollings Meadows, he is called Calvary in the 1900 census, and then Calvert in the 1910 census, which is probably a spelling error. Calvary Stollings was his maternal grandfather, and Calvary may have been a nickname for him, or he may have been nicknamed Calvin the whole time, and both census takers got it wrong. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWI on 23 May 1918, and served as a Private in the 40th Infantry, 14th Division. He was honorably discharged on 18 Nov 1918. He married Belle Kirk on 17 May 1923 in Charleston. She was 4 years younger, and born in Kentucky, and both Calvin and Belle were residents of Kanawha County at the time. No other records were found for Calvin, until his wife, Belle, requested a military veteran headstone, That application was completed a month after Calvin passed away, and it gives Belle's address as Hernshaw, WV.
