Read More	22 MAY 1896, Arlington Times DIED - On Saturday, May 16th, at 1 o'clock a.m., Calvin Morley, aged 74 years and 11 days. The subject of this sketch was born in West Bloomfield, Ontario County, N.Y. When a boy he moved with his parents to Indiana, where he met and married Miss Maria Masters and moved with his family to Michigan. In the year 1859 he came to Nebraska and settled on a farm 3 1/2 miles east of Arlington where he has since lived until about seven years ago he bought a home in Arlington where he could spend the remainder of his days in comparative ease. About five years ago Mr. Morley was hurt by his team running away since which time he as been ailing from nervous affection. The past two years he has been a charge on his wife who has taken almost the whole care of him. He has been confined to his bed for several months and his death was only a release from long suffering. Calvin Morley was converted in 1847 and united with the M. E. church of which he was a member until his death. He leaves a wife and one son, five children having preceded him to the spirit land, and many friends to mourn his loss. The large number of friends met to pay their last tribute of love to a departed friend and brother. His remains were taken to the Morley cemetery followed by a large concourse of friends. MORELY, farmer, Section 5, post office Arlington, was born May 5, 1822 in Washington County, N. Y. He came to Indiana in 1839 and followed farming; in 1854 he came to Michigan, and in 1859 he came to Washington County and to this farm; he owns 238 acres of land which he has well improved; he has been Justice of the Peace, Assessor, and held other local offices; served eleven months in Company K, Second Nebraska Cavalry; married January 8, 1845, to Maria Masters, of Pennsylvania. They had seven children--but one son now living." Father of Connie Morley (1886-1888); Spencer (b. 1852 in Indiana); twins, Delana J. and Delila A Morley (1853-1866); Joanna E. (1849-1870); and Phebe E. (1859-1869) All are buried in the family plot. Connie has no stone, possibly due to vandalism or damaged from age. *********************************************************
