Description	:	Calvin was the son of Alfred Sinclair and Martha "Millie" Rorie, daughter of William Rorie and Judah Butler. On 30 October 1841 in Carroll County, Mississippi, Calvin married Sarah Lavisa McNeill, daughter of John McNeill from Keinfordale, Argyllshire, Scotland, and Lavisa Moultrie. Calvin's sister, Sarah "Sallie" Sinclair, married Sarah Lavisa's brother, William McNeill. Calvin and Sarah Lavisa had the following children (in order of birth): Sarah Lavisa, Hugh Craig, Joseph Moultrie, John A., and Mary Holman.
