Hegarty, 92, of Eagle died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at the Monarch in Lincoln. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Heartwell with the Rev. James Benton officiating. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery near Heartwell. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln. Camilla was born Oct. 21, 1922, in Eaton Township to John and Helene (Liebers) Gleason. She graduated from Minden High School in 1939. On April 29, 1954, she married Gerald M. Hegarty in Heartwell, and they had a loving union of 57 years. Camilla was a pharmacy technician at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lincoln for many years until she retired in 1983. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Elmwood, a Girl Scout leader and a member of AFGE Local 2219. Camilla was an avid gardener and enjoyed puzzles of all kinds and bird watching. Survivors include her daughters, Marge Blankenship and husband Gary of Kearney, Colleen Anderson of Lincoln, Barbara Hegarty of Eagle, Theresa Hegarty, Carolyn Hegarty, Laura Douglas and husband John, and Bonnie Suarez, all of Lincoln; sons, John Hegarty and Michael Hegarty, both of Eagle; grandchildren, Greg Blankenship and wife Angela of Loup City, Erin Anderson and husband Ian Werkheiser of East Lansing, Mich., Scott Blankenship and wife Jennifer of Laveen, Ariz., and Josh Hegarty, Melissa Douglas and Ashley Douglas, all of Lincoln; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Anita Gleason of Minden. Camilla was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her parents; three sisters; three brothers; and one great-granddaughter.
