She departed this life Monday, May 7, 2018 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 72 years. Candas (Candy) grew up in the Ruskin area attending school and graduating from Ruskin High School with the class of 1964. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Ruskin. She married Max Deepe November 29, 1964 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Ruskin, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of four children. Her married life consisted of helping out on the farm, raising her four children, babysitting neighbor children, and especially driving the family grain trucks each harvest season. She also worked as a housekeeper for a combined total of more than 30 years at the Riverside Motel in Hebron, Reinke Manufacturing in Deshler, Bruning State Bank in Hebron, and the FSA (formerly ASCS) Office in Hebron. She enjoyed keeping her home and yard tidy, and adding seasonal outdoor displays of unique cut grasses, stalks, dried plants, weeds and flowers. She had an exceptional flair for decorating, always making her home a warm and welcoming space for friends and family to gather. She passed time also working in her flower and vegetable garden. She found joy just spending time in Gods creation. Candy was an outstanding cook. She loved bringing lunches out to the boys working in the field and was always up for trying a new recipe. She also looked forward to holidays and having family and friends come to her home for special celebrations. Her creativity was evident in all of the handmade craft items she would make and share with family and friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. To Candy, family was the most important. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Beverly Myers. She is survived by three sons, Tony Deepe and wife Karla of Deshler, NE, Travis Deepe and wife Julie of Hebron, and Trent Deepe and wife Tamara of Hebron, NE, one daughter Tammy Buresh and husband Dan of Chester, NE, one sister Pam Buresh of Superior, NE, brother-in-law Clay Meyers one aunt, Jackie Myers of Belleville, KS, grandchildren; Amber and Autumn Deepe of Deshler, NE, Brittany Stenson of Chester, NE, Jaden Buresh of Salina, KS, Emily Schmitz and husband Doug of Lincoln, Natalie Marsh and husband Rob of Hebron, NE, Andy Else and wife Kendra of Hebron, Olivia Deepe of Hebron, Jacob and Emmalyn Deepe of Hebron. Great-grandchildren Khonor Craig and Lyrikk Siebold of Chester, NE, Addison, Leah, Brynn, and Kora Marsh of Hebron, Raegan, Taylor and Drew Else of Hebron, Keaton and Crew Schmitz of Lincoln, many nieces, nephews and friends. Following Candys wishes, she was cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. No visitation.
