At the age of 21 he was married to Miss Martha A. Walter. He was a man of sterling worth and integrity. Note that his middle name (Cochoran) is often spelled Cochrane. Children not listed as siblings are Alice who married Capt D Asbury Smith. Alice died 3 Aug 1929 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama; James A. Bethea (1836-1837); and Pickett Pearce Bethea who died in service to the C.S.A. |
