Description	:	Matthias Leach was a Cival War Vetern and a Nance Co. pioneer. He came to Nance Co.in 1893, where he resided for twenty-five years, serving two terms as sheriff. Mr. Leach was prominent in G.A.R.Circles, serving as senior vice commander. He was a memberof the 7th Illinois Cavalry during the Cival War.He lived in Fullerton until 1918,when he and his wife, Hannah Beaty Leach moved to Kimball, Neb.He lived there until his death.His wife preceded him in death seven years. He was buried with military honors in the Fullerton cemetery,the American Leagion taking charge of the service. He is survived...
