Sander died at his home north of town shortly after noon on Thursday, death being directly due to burns he received in a gas explosion a few weeks ago. His condition has varied but his advanced age – 70 years – was against him and then too, it seems his injuries were much more severe than was at first supposed. Sander died at his home north of town shortly after noon on Thursday, death being directly due to burns he received in a gas explosion a few weeks ago. His condition has varied but his advanced age – 70 years – was against him and then too, it seems his injuries were much more severe than was at first supposed. Mr. Sander held a place in the ranks of the pioneers, having come to the valley in the early days. He acquired large holdings north of town, where he has lived for many years. He was of a quiet disposition, but nevertheless was widely and favorably known and esteemed by all. His death will bring general regret. The funeral will take place at his home at 2 o'clock Saturday.
