Teslow 78, of 412 Washington Street were held Monday, March 30 at First Lutheran Church with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. Final rites were conducted by the Rev. Dell Olson and the Rev. George Ulvilden. Mr. Teslow died March 26 in the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital. He was a retired tavern owner and a Decorah resident the past 19 years. Final rites were conducted by the Rev. Dell Olson and the Rev. George Ulvilden. Mr. Teslow died March 26 in the Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital. He was a retired tavern owner and a Decorah resident the past 19 years. He had previously farmed for 25 years in Glenwood township and had lived in Cresco. Pallbears were Nathan Teslow, Norman Woldum, William Losen, Melford Teslow, Lester Teslow and harlan Rogen. William Kuhlmann was organist and hymns were sung by the congregation. Steine Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Carl Teslow was born March 19, 1892 in Winneshiek County, the son of Hans and Syvenna (Synneva) Teslow. He attended rural schools in Glenwood Township. He was married to the former Sadie Estrem August 14, 1918 in Decorah. He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Mrs. George Ethel Mae) Price of Mineral Wells, Texas. Other survivors are four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Audrey, who died in 1940 at the age of one year, his parents five sisters and four brothers. Mr. Teslow was a member of First Lutheran Church.
