Read More	SOURCE: Family Histories CARL BENJAMIN HANSEN I, Carl Benjamin Hansen, was born January 27, 1893, the eight living child of Boy and Anna Thomson Hansen. My parents with son Henry and daughter Pauline came from Schleswig-Holstein in 1882 and settled on he farm which is now occupied by Charlie and Mary Jane Maxson. the house was later moved nearer Rock Falls which was the home of Robert Craws. In this place Christine, Clara, Paul, Pete, Mathilda and I were born. My residence has been around this territory but for the exception of about three years in Nora Springs. There Paul, Pete, Mathilda and I attended school, otherwise my schooling was in Rock falls. When I was 21, I married Barbra Dedina on March 7th, 1914. We lived on the Tom Perritt place owned by Ida Hoblit, thoughout the summer. During the winter we lived on my folks place now owned by Roger Paulson. In the spring we started farming on the L.D. Helm farm five miles east of Plymouth. Our son Loyd, was born on this place. Then we moved to the Olson farm. Lorraine and LeRoy, twins, were born on this place. LeRoy passed away at two and 1 half years. We moved later to the Elmer Hersey farm now owned by Ralph Bowen where we stayed a number of years. We moved back to the home place for ten years, before buying the place I now live on from brother-in-law, Del Frink in 1943. Barbra passed away on february 3, 1951. I was later married to Doris Paine Allen on March 6, 1952. Now at 83, the last of my family living, I have two children, a stepson, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
