Description	:	Carl Christopherson Carl Christopherson, 45, former painter, who resided at 301 1/2 South West ave., died today at a local hospital after a five-week illness. Born in Norway September 17, 1898, Christopherson came to this country at the age of six and has been a resident of Sioux Falls since 1922. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice, who died in 1936. Survivors include his mother; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Spielman, Harrisburg, S.D. and Mrs. Olaf Moe, Sioux Falls; and a brother, Martin, Hendricks, Minn. Funeral services, in charge fo the Banton Funeral Home, have not been arranged, pending arrival... Carl's Norwegian Birth/Christening Records show that he was born in 1897 not 1898. The 1898 year came from his obit that was already transcribed when it was sent to me by the mortuary associated with this cemetery. There is no grave marker for Carl Christopheron. He is supposed to be buried next to his mother, Christina Stenerson. Carl's sister were Dordi Kristoffersdatter Hugaas Spielman (1896-1973) and Olga Karine Kristoffersdatter Hugaas Moe (1892-1962). Carl's half-brother was Martin Kristofferson Hugaas. The Americanized surname for this family is Christopherson, except for the father who is buried with the last name of Hogess.
