Description	:	Bro. Carl D. Davis, 78 of Brazil, went to be with his Lord and Savior November 12, 2014 at 8:15 am with his family by his side. He was born January 25, 1936 in Myra, Texas, the son of Robert James Davis and Ova Massengale Davis. Carl was united in marriage with Edith Lee Burris Davis on December 8, 1954 and together they have served the Brazil United Pentecostal Church for many years. Carl was no stranger to hard work. Davis, 78 of Brazil, went to be with his Lord and Savior November 12, 2014 at 8:15 am with his family by his side. He was born January 25, 1936 in Myra, Texas, the son of Robert James Davis and Ova Massengale Davis. Carl was united in marriage with Edith Lee Burris Davis on December 8, 1954 and together they have served the Brazil United Pentecostal Church for many years. Carl was no stranger to hard work. He was a supervisor for Townsend Tree Service and worked for them for over 30 years. Following his retirement, he worked as a carpenter. He was always there for those who needed to hear about God’s Word. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ross Davis, Leroy Davis, Ira Davis, Clarence ‘C.T.’ Davis; sister Irene Wright; infant daughter, Ovalita Diane Davis and his son, Ricky Kevin Davis in 1985. Survivors include his loving wife Edith Davis; one son Robert Dean Davis (Judy); two daughters Ona Phillips and Joyce Kougl( Jeff); grandchildren, Misty Gilbert (Jeremy), Jessica, Josh and Jacob Kougl, Billy Joe Phillips(Gina), ‘Jimmy’ Phillips(Jessica) and Nikki Dawson(Andy), Alicia Bault, and Hannah Winstead; 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Hubert Davis(Charlene), Ralph Davis, Gene Davis(Reva); one sister Shirley Clevenger(Raymond); many nieces, nephews and extended family. Services will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at the Brazil United Pentecostal Church with Brother Anthony Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday at the church from 4-8 and again Saturday one hour prior to services.
