Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Traverce Harrison of Stanhope officiating and with burial in Graceland Cemetery. Carl Francis Neese, son of Elijah and Mary Emma Neese, was born Sept. 17, 1889, on a farm in the Saratoga community. He was reared and educated in that community. He was united in marriage April 30, 1912, to Mabel Wilson, and the couple resided on the Neese family farm for five years, then moved to a farm six miles northeast of Stanhope, where they had since resided. He is survived by his wife; one daughter and two sons; Mrs. Lester (Madge) McCoskey of Cedar Falls, Verne Neese of Webster City and Wayne Neese of Blairsburg; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. W. R. (Leah) of Ayrshire, Iowa, Mrs. G. A. (Margaret) Sonerholm of Webster City and Percy Neese of Stanhope. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Neese attended the Church of Christ.
