Description	:	He was born to Carl and Rosa (Smith) Strausbaugh. He graduated from Danville High School in 1937. He enjoyed attending his class reunions. He was a lifelong farmer and was very knowledgeable about farming and kept precise records on the daily weather for years. He overcame a serious farming accident in 1951 and could be seen working on the family farm driving his John Deere tractors. He thrilled at the sound of steam engines. Read More	He was born to Carl and Rosa (Smith) Strausbaugh. He graduated from Danville High School in 1937. He enjoyed attending his class reunions. He was a lifelong farmer and was very knowledgeable about farming and kept precise records on the daily weather for years. He overcame a serious farming accident in 1951 and could be seen working on the family farm driving his John Deere tractors. He thrilled at the sound of steam engines. He truly lived his life by the farming cycles, starting out with horses progressing up to modern day times. Joe also was involved in the trucking and oil drilling industries. He retired from State Liquor Store in Millersburg in 1989. He served as a Knox Township trustee for many years. He enjoyed the public life and served on the Holmes County Fair and Red Cross boards, planning commission and Western Holmes Fire District Board. He was a charter member of Northeast Ohio Pork Producers. He was a member of Civil Service, PERI and Killbuck VFW. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and served on the cemetery association. He was a former 4-H adviser in Danville. He liked being involved in the local community. He enjoyed meeting and visiting with people and loved a good joke. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, RoseMary (Grassbaugh) Strausbaugh. They married Sept. 18, 1941. He also is survived by his 12 children, John (Nancy) of Marshallville, Marie Easterling of Clinton, Richard (Kathy) and Helen (Ken) Morris of Millersburg, Ruth (Gerald) Stanger of Perrysville, Ralph of Glenmont, Clem (Karen) of Danville, Victor of Loudonville, Jean (Jim) Flynn of Sarasota, Fla., Kathleen (Dan) Skolmutch of Big Prairie, Raymond (Cathi) and RoseAnn (Doug) Boyd of Killbuck. He was proud of his 34 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
