He died June 30, 1979 at St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Lincoln, at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 14 days. Preceding him in death was his father, Henry, and one brother, Ernest. Carl was a farmer in Momence Township; a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church; a Veteran of World War II; a member of Samuel Marsh VFW Post 7102 in Geneva and the American Legion Argonne Post No. 61 in Sutton. Services for Carl Kamler were held at 10 a.m. July 3, 1979, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva with Father Walter Banach officiating. Pallbearers were his nephews, David Beetley, John Budler, Gene Dondlinger, Charles Kamler, Ronald Kleinschmidt and Richard Robare. Military graveside services were conducted by the Legion and VFW post of which he was a member. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal July 19, 1979. Contributor: M.
