Description	:	Carl Ole Linblad's Funeral services were in First Presbyterian church with the Rev. Arthur Cooper officiating. Burial was in the Wolsey Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by Beadle County Barracks No. 1769. Carl Ole Linblad, was born at Petio, Sweden, May 15, 1893, the son of Pierre and Karen Lindblad. He came to America at the age of 17 and worked in Chicago where he became a Untied States citizen. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was stationed in France, Upon his discharge he came to Wolsey in 1920 and started a tire shop.... Military rites were conducted by Beadle County Barracks No. 1769. Carl Ole Linblad, was born at Petio, Sweden, May 15, 1893, the son of Pierre and Karen Lindblad. He came to America at the age of 17 and worked in Chicago where he became a Untied States citizen. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was stationed in France, Upon his discharge he came to Wolsey in 1920 and started a tire shop. In 1925 he built Ole's Service Station which he operated 40 years until his health forced him to retire. Carl was mayor of Wolsey from 1940-42. He was a member of Hershman-Gordon American Legion No. 59, Swedish Lutheran Church in Sweden, and Beadle County Barracks No. 1769 of World War I Veterans. He was married to Ella May Bootz April 14, 1924 at Pierre, South Dakota. Survivors include his widow; five children, Robert, Wolsey; Mrs. Clarence (Marjorie) Jones, Huron; Carl and Mrs Don (Donna Mae) Rowersox, both of Wolsey and Ronald, Chicago, Illinois; seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter; one sister Mrs. Aliver Engberg, Chicago. His parents, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
