Mr. Hogue was born Oct 26, 1901 in Concordia, the son of Henry and Amy Chritton Hogue. He married Gertrude Henderson in Salina on Oct. 20, 1927 He was a lifetime resident of Cloud County. He farmed in the area and was a fireman for Western Power and Light for 25 years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Carl Raymond "Ray" Hogue died Thursday, Feb 11, after becoming ill at the Senior Citizens Center. He was 80. Mr. Hogue was born Oct 26, 1901 in Concordia, the son of Henry and Amy Chritton Hogue. He married Gertrude Henderson in Salina on Oct. 20, 1927 He was a lifetime resident of Cloud County. He farmed in the area and was a fireman for Western Power and Light for 25 years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Mr. Hogue is survived by his wife, Gertrude, of the home; a daughter, Barbara Ormand and her husband, John , Bedford, Texas: a son, Norman Hogue and his wife, Mickie, Calimesa, Calif,; a granddaughter, Deborah Shoop and her husband, Jack Glendale, Ariz. and two sisters, Mrs. Lela Machen, Concordia; and Mrs. Leta Cool, Springdale, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Funeral services for Mr. Hogue will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Concordia. The Rev. Harry Graves will conduct the services. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hogue's family suggests memorials be made to the Heart Fund. Respect calls may be made at the Chaput-Bouy Funeral Home.
