Albers was born on June 18,1914 at Wolsey,SD (Beadle County SD) to August and Ida (Werth) Albers,At the age of six, Carl moved with his family to Seneca (Faulk County SD). Albers was born on June 18,1914 at Wolsey,SD (Beadle County SD) to August and Ida (Werth) Albers,At the age of six, Carl moved with his family to Seneca (Faulk County SD). He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and received his education in the Elroy and Latham schools. On March 27,1938 he married Delilah Buechler of Seneca. They lived northeast of Seneca until the spring of 1944 when they purchased the Bill Hagenlock farm where they farmed and raised their two childen Bill and Bonnie.During that time Carl and Wm Buechler started the westside 4-H club where Carl was a leader for 15 years. He also served on the crop improvement board for over 30 years and the weed board for 20 years.Carl was very active in St.Paul's Lutheran church in Seneca serving on various boards throughout his life. Carl and Delilah were very active in organizing the Senior Citizens and purchasing the Senedak Center and serving as the chairman for two years. In 1985 they retired from farm life and purchased a new home and moved into Seneca. For many years Carl & Delilah enjoyed spending the winters with their daughter,Bonnie and her famly in Florida and the summers back in Seneca until poor health forced them to move into the Faulkton Healthcare Center in April of 2005. Carl is survived by his two children Bill (Jan) of Minneapolis,MN and Bonnie (Charles) Mason of Ocala, Florida; 3 grandchildren: Todd (Julie) Deuter of Florida,Brian (Susan) of Minneapolis and Melanie Korsgren of Minneapolis; 4 great grandchildren : Cody of Flordia and Matthew, Evan and Olivia from Minneapolis; two sisters Sophia (Finn) Dalquist of Gettyburg,SD and Louise Vail of Sioux Falls and two very caring,kind, compassionate and special ladies, Isabelle Beckler and Shirley Greiner who assisted in caring for both of them when their health started failing. He also will be missed by his Faulkton Healthcare family friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Delilah, his parents,one son,one brother and one sister.
