He was a son of the late John Stepp and Bertha Ammons Stepp. He attended the schools of Union County and was owner and operator of Stepp’s Garage and Towing. He was a member of Armenia United Methodist Church and the Corvette Club. He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Sara Ann Tracey Stepp; three daughters, Tammy Elliott (Richard) of Easley, SC and Susan Stepp and Tiffany Boyd both of Chester, SC; one son, Joseph Stepp (Melissa) of Chester; seven grandchildren, Stefanie Blanton, Paul Teague, Kyra Stepp, Paul Larussa, Chris Elliott, Candice Elliott and Josh Elliott; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Glenn “J.G.” Gibson of Union, SC and Russell Gibson of Lockhart, SC and one sister, Betty Blackwood of Spartanburg, SC.
