She was born on March 24, 1934 near Holmesville, Nebraska, to Frank and Dorothea (Fischer) Hadley. She was a 1952 graduate of the Douglas High School, Douglas, Nebraska. Carol and Fred Weber Sr. were married on March 4, 1954, at the American Lutheran Church in Adams and have lived in the Adams area since their marriage. She had worked with her family at the former Strawberry Patch Cafe in Adams. Carol was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Adams, and had been a member of the Helping Hands Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking (especially known for her bread, pies, and cookies), spending time with her grandchildren, and collected bells. Survivors include her husband Fred Weber Sr.; children Bonnie Woltemath and husband Jim of Adams, Marilyn Neukirch of Beatrice, Nebraska, Sharon Zuhlke and husband Ed of Adams, Judy McClellan and husband Tim of Adams, and Fred Weber Jr. and special friend Amy Harbson of Adams; 16 grandchildren, Jennifer Adams and husband Randy, Jonathan Woltemath, Joshua Woltemath and wife Tara, Bert Neukirch, Brad Neukirch, Melissa Neukirch, Melanie Neukirch, Craig Zuhlke and wife Amy, Amy Zuhlke, Samantha Scott and husband Edwin, Tiffany McClellan, Kimberly McClellan, Jewel McClellan, TaMera McClellan, Caty Weber, and Emme Weber; 16 great grandchildren; brothers James Hadley and wife Esther of Kansas City, Jack Hadley and wife Linda of San Antonio, Texas, Darrell Hadley and wife Dora of Albion, Nebraska; sister Joan Graham of Canon City, Colorado; sister and brother in laws Harvey and Mildred Fossler of Filley, Nebraska, and Marge Rogge of Beatrice. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dorothea (Fischer) Hadley; 1 brother and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the American Lutheran Church in Adams with Reverend Nathan Metzger officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery in Adams. The body will lie in state Monday from 2-9:00 at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Adams and at the church one hour preceding the service on Tuesday. A memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 AM Tuesday at the church.
