Description	:	Carol Seemann, 87, of Woodward, passed away peacefully at Kennybrook Village in Grimes, Tuesday, March 27, 2012. She was born March 14, 1925 to Thomas and Emma (Ruther) Fincham near Beaver, Iowa, and graduated Paton High School. On February 3, 1949 she was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Seemann, and they resided in rural Woodward for 60 years. They were blessed with four children. She enjoyed reading,... Read More	Carol Seemann, 87, of Woodward, passed away peacefully at Kennybrook Village in Grimes, Tuesday, March 27, 2012. She was born March 14, 1925 to Thomas and Emma (Ruther) Fincham near Beaver, Iowa, and graduated Paton High School. On February 3, 1949 she was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Seemann, and they resided in rural Woodward for 60 years. They were blessed with four children. Carol will be fondly remembered for her sweet smile, selflessness, unconditional love and care of her family and friends. She was never happier than when she was in her kitchen, baking and cooking. She enjoyed reading, knitting, playing cards, and doing jigsaw puzzles, especially if her family was involved. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Madrid, IA. Those left to mourn her passing are her children: Cheri (Mark) Finestead of Granger, Lynn Seemann of Ankeny, Lon (Denise) Seemann of Woodward; sister, June Anderson of Dewitt; sister-in-law, Anna Mae Seemann of Woodward; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Carol will be welcomed home by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; brother, Earl Fincham; son, Larry; and granddaughter, Meredith Anne. The family would like to extend special thanks to Iowa Hospice and the caring staff at Kennybrook Village. Visitation will be held at Brandt Funeral Home in Woodward, with family present from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 29, with funeral services at St. John's Lutheran Church in Madrid at 11:00 am, Friday, March 30, 2012. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Cass Township.
