She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, two children, her sister, three grandchild-ren, and many nieces and nephews. Carol was born on March 29, 1936, in Yuba City, California, to Howard and Artie Van Dyke. Read More	CAROL LUNDBERG Carol Van Dyke Lundberg passed away on Friday, November 18, 2016. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, two children, her sister, three grandchild-ren, and many nieces and nephews. Carol was born on March 29, 1936, in Yuba City, California, to Howard and Artie Van Dyke. A fourth genera-tion Californian, Carol grew up with her two sisters and parents on their family's rice farm in Pleasant Grove. She graduated from East Nicolaus High School in 1954. Carol received her bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Spanish from the University of California at Davis in 1959. After graduation, she taught seventh and eighth grade in Pleasant Grove and worked as a fashion consultant for the Joseph Magnin Company in Sacramento. Carol married Homer Lundberg, of Richvale, on November 18, 1961, and moved to Chico. They were active in the Evangelical Free Church, where Carol was the founding director of the Little People Nursery School. In 1975, Carol and Homer moved to Richvale, and became active in the Evangelical Free Church there. She also served as a substitute teacher in Richvale, Biggs, and Gridley. She was a gourmet cook and talented decorator, and often hosted dinner parties in her elegant home. Carol loved traveling, and visited six of the world's continents. One of her favorite excur-sions was an around the world trip that she and Homer took in 1994. Carol will be remem-bered for her kind and generous heart, exqui-site taste, support of others, dedication to her family, and her love of God. She will be greatly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, at the Richvale Evangelical Free Church at 11am, with a reception to follow.
