Carole Yvonne (Biggar) Henry was born on July 11, 1942, in Brookings, SD, the daughter of Thomas Alvin and Faye (Wagner) Biggar. She received her education in Brookings Public Schools and was a 1960 graduate of Brookings High School. Carole Yvonne (Biggar) Henry was born on July 11, 1942, in Brookings, SD, the daughter of Thomas Alvin and Faye (Wagner) Biggar. She received her education in Brookings Public Schools and was a 1960 graduate of Brookings High School. While in Brookings, Carole was employed at Larson's Manufacturing and as the kitchen manager at the Ram Pub. In 1962, Carole and Robert Zakrzewski were united in marriage while living in Denver, CO. To this union were born three children, Laura Lee, Shonda Faye and Robert Jr. They lived in Aurora and Grenville SD. Carole was united in marriage to Robert Henry in 1988 at Enumclaw, WA. While in Washington she was again employed by the Ram Pub Corporation and assisted Robert in his outfitting business by cooking for the group over an open fire. They lived in Washington until 1993 and then moved to Garden City, SD. After they moved to Garden City, she was employed at the McCains Plant near Clark, SD. For the last several years she managed the Clark County Mercantile Antique Mall in Clark. Carole said she had the best job, working with antiques and working for the best boss in the world, Clay Yeoman. Carole was an excellent pool player and played on many leagues through the years. She also enjoyed bowling, because bowling allowed her to spend time with her friends. Carole loved collecting and selling antiques and working crossword puzzles. Carole is survived by two daughters, Laura Zakrzewski, of Sioux Falls, SD, and Shonda (Brian) Johnson, of Scotland, SD; her son, Staff Sargeant Robert (Stephanie) Zakrzewski Jr., Albany, GA.; three sisters, Linda (Gerry) Hanson, of Hot Springs, SD, Marsha Biggar, of Sioux Falls, SD, and Deanna (Alfred) Rude, of Brookings; eight grandchildren; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Thomas (Gus) Biggar, and an infant daughter, Mary Zakrzewski. Funeral Services have been set for Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Rude's Funeral Home, Brookings.
