Description	:	Caroline "Carrie" B. Johnson, 86, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Fenton and Whittemore, died Tuesday, May 10, 1994, in Mesa, Arizona. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday at Ewing Funeral Chapel in Britt, with the Rev. Ken Suetterlin officiating. Burial will be in the United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fenton, Iowa. Caroline Blanche Schneider was born February 28, 1908, in Palo Alto County, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Miller) Schneider. She graduated from Fenton High School in 1926. She married Hugh Francis Carney in 1930, in Jackson, Minnesota. The couple lived on a farm near Mallard, then moved to a farm near Whittemore. They later bought the family farm at Fenton, where they lived until moving to Mesa, Arizona in 1955. Hugh preceded her in death on February 27, 1955. She then married Joseph Hilmer Johnson in 1956, in Emmetsburg and they lived in Arizona. Joseph preceded her in death on December 23, 1968. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Mesa, active in the Salvation Army and American Legion and helped with the local Food Distribution Center. She is survived by two sons, Richard Carney of Crystal Lake, and Hugh Carney Jr., of Sierra Vista, AZ; one daughter, Catherine Derenthall of Tyler, TX; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one daughter, two step-daughters, four brothers and three sisters. The Algona Upper Des Moines, May 19, 1994
