The former Caroline Allamand was born Dec. 22, 1912, in Monticello, Iowa, to Abraham and Mary Louise Arnold Allamand. She married Martin Neff in 1933, in Aledo. He died in 1971. She had lived in the Princeton area for the past 22 years, moving from the Oxford and Lost Nation area. She was an ordained deacon and elder of the church, where she assisted with Bible school and was a member of the United Presbyterian Women. She was a member of the Princeton Lionesses and the Mothers of World War II, in Princeton. She had been a 4-H leader in Jones County and taught Sunday school at the Oxford Junction Methodist Church. She was a member of the Women's Legion Auxiliary and the Women's Society of Christian Service, both in Oxford Junction. She enjoyed hiking and camping. Survivors include daughter, Carol Wenndt, Ankeny, Iowa; sons, James Neff, Smyrna, Ga., Gerald Neff, Pleasant Valley, Iowa, and David Neff, Princeton, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Guthrie, in Arkansas, Dorothy Turner, in Texas; and brothers, Karl Allamand, in Oregon, and George Allamand, in California.
