Description	:	After having endured declining health for a period of three years and for the last four weeks severely ill, Mrs. Caroline Tinschert died at the Joseph Dohman home southwest of Creighton, Sunday evening at 10 o'clock, death being attributable to dropsy and complications at the advanced age of nearly 79 years. Mrs. Tinschert was numbered as one of the oldest residents of Creighton having resided here continuously for a period of 39 years. Mrs. Tinschert was numbered as one of the oldest residents of Creighton having resided here continuously for a period of 39 years. About three months ago, she was removed to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Dohman, where she was given every attention that humans could give in the way of filial devotion and care. Mrs. Tinschert was born in Rigersdorf, Germany, May 19, 1845 and with the family came to the United States in June, 1881, locating at Dubuque, Iowa. By her earlier marriage, she was the mother of three children, the husband being deceased in November, following their arrival in Dubuque. In 1882 she was married to John Tinschert at Dubuque with whom she moved to Creighton in to Creighton in 1885. A son was born to this union, who died in infancy and the husband preceded her in death, which occurred on February 8, 1907. Surviving relatives of the late Mrs. Tinschert include: Mrs. Joseph Dohman of Creighton; Mrs. John Rehberg and Miss Otilie Herman of Phoenixville, Penn.; Albert Tinschert of Creighton, being a nephew. Fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. On account of her continuous residence in Creighton through the great number of years she was familiarly know by everyone as Grandma Tinschert and as such gave much assistance and counsel on innumerable occasions. She was particularly liked by her closer associates for whom she devoted much effort in extending most prudent hospitality. The funeral was held from the St. Ludger Catholic church on Wednesday morning, where solemn requiem mass was celebrated by Father Windolph and Father Brady of Plainview.
