Description	:	Caroline Kennedy Hester, 72, formerly of Lanford Station, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at Greenville Healthcare System. Born in Lanford Station, she was a daughter of the late Ford Lawrence and Bertha Louise Bowman Kennedy. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Mrs. Hester was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church in Laurens. She is survived by: daughters, Debra H. Smith and husband Randy of Easley and Suzanne H. Smith of Clinton; a brother, Johnny Kennedy of Lanford Station; sisters Shirley Kennedy of Laurens and Janet K. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Michael Hester and a brother Henry Kennedy. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. J.D. Putman, Jr. with burial in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
