Description	:	Carolyn was born #10 of a total of 10 children produced by Anna (Fokert) & Christopher Kalmbach of Norma, North Dakota. She was born January 7, 1937 at Kenmare, North Dakota. Being the youngest, she was tremendously spoiled, and how could she not have been, having “11” parents that loved & adored her. Carolyn grew up on the family farm in Lakeview Township. Read More	Carolyn was born #10 of a total of 10 children produced by Anna (Fokert) & Christopher Kalmbach of Norma, North Dakota. She was born January 7, 1937 at Kenmare, North Dakota. Being the youngest, she was tremendously spoiled, and how could she not have been, having “11” parents that loved & adored her. Carolyn grew up on the family farm in Lakeview Township. She was a consummate lover of animals, and had several dogs & cats through her life, even a 5’ tall Goat for a time. She went to school in Kenmare, North Dakota, where she eventually met the love of her life, Robert Swanson. Bob graduated in 54’, Carolyn in 55’, and on March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day) of 56’, she & Bob were Wed at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Kenmare. They started their family that year, with their first child being born just inside the tax year, December 31st. It must have helped because they continued on growing their family to a total of 4 children, two girls & two boys. She had a zest for life, and many likes & loves. She really loved babies, and more than once, her & Bob fostered a baby that was waiting for an adoption to go thru. She loved people, being active, and being a part of something beyond her family, so she became a Welcome Wagon lady when her & Bob bought their 1st home in Coon Rapids. When that ended she got into selling Avon where she was a very successful salesperson & spokesperson for their products, for many years. In her years following their retirement she joined the women’s group at their Church. She was an incredible cook & baker … and loved to square dance. She loved camping, traveling, and meeting new people, and of cours "Bingo". She had tremendous love for her family & all her nephews & nieces, and it’s been said she never once missed one of their Birthdays. Carolyn & Bob made great partners throughout their entire lives in all they did apart & together. Their love was unbreakable in life & remains unbreakable in her living forward. She now patiently waits for Bob & the rest of her family in Heaven, healed & full of God's light, where we will all be together once again. Carolyn Ann went to her eternal rest on January 10, 2018 at Elk River, Minnesota.
