Description	:	Mrs. Carolyn Jean Ashby Day, age 71, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on March 3, 1943 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Herman and Eleanor Warren Ashby. She resided all her life in Jefferson County and attended Madison High School. Carolyn was united in marriage to Charles E. Day on March 24, 1965 at the Manville Christian Church. This happy union of forty nine years was blessed with two daughters and three sons. Read More	Mrs. Carolyn Jean Ashby Day, age 71, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on March 3, 1943 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Herman and Eleanor Warren Ashby. She resided all her life in Jefferson County and attended Madison High School. Carolyn was united in marriage to Charles E. Day on March 24, 1965 at the Manville Christian Church. This happy union of forty nine years was blessed with two daughters and three sons. Carolyn began her employment at the U.S. Shoe Factory in down town Madison and later became a full time housewife and mother. She was a member of the North Madison Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting, drawing and spending time with her grandchildren. Carolyn died on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 2:17 p.m. at her home in Madison, Indiana. Carolyn will be missed by her loving husband of forty nine years, Charles E. Day of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughters, Cathy Allen and her husband, Derek of Vevay, Indiana, Stephanie Day of Madison, Indiana; her loving sons, Gregory Edward Day and his wife, Johnetta of Madison, Indiana, Kevin Daniel Day of Madison, Indiana, Brian Andrew Day and his wife, Amanda of Madison, Indiana; her loving grandchildren, Adam Day, Seth Schafer, Braydan Allen, Sarah Day, Brooke Day, Taylor Day, Faith Day and Shawn Pennington; her adoring great grandson, Charlie Day; her step great grandson, Taylor; her loving sisters, Polly Temple and her husband, Darrell of Milton, Kentucky, Marcella Stewart of Madison, Indiana, Crissy Cox and her husband, Woody of Madison, Indiana, Pam Scroggins and her husband, Charlie; her loving brothers, Billy Warren and his wife, Juanita of Madison, Indiana, Bobby Ashby of Madison, Indiana; her sister in law, Joyce Ashby of Madison, Indiana; her brother in law, Danny Day and his wife, Connie of Madison, Indiana; . She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Ashby and her mother, Eleanor Warren Ashby; her brothers, George Ashby, Charles Ashby & Eddie Ashby. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Frank McGee at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay, Indiana Friends may call Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carolyn Jean Day Memorial Fund. Cards are available at the funeral home.
