She was born November 6, 1945, in Coffey County, Kansas, the daughter of Paul and Carrie Smith Cellar. She grew up in Waverly, and graduated from Waverly High School in 1963. Read More	Carolyn Pauline (Cellar) Gordon, 65, Topeka, formerly of Scranton, Kansas, passed away surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Stormont-Vail Health Care Center. She was born November 6, 1945, in Coffey County, Kansas, the daughter of Paul and Carrie Smith Cellar. She grew up in Waverly, and graduated from Waverly High School in 1963. Carolyn worked in the banking industry for many years, most recently as Manager of the Kansas State Bank in Scranton, KS. She was a devout member of the Central Church of Christ, Topeka, Kansas. Carolyn loved cooking and shared that talent with many friends and neighbors. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She married Clark Gordon, September 4, 1964, at Waverly, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include two sons, Kevin Gordon, and his wife Kristen, Andale, KS, and Corey Gordon, and his wife Gretchen, Prairie Village, KS; four grandchildren, Dylan and Abigail Gordon, Andale, KS, and Parker and Estelle Gordon, Prairie Village, KS; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening May 24th, 6:00 P.M., at the Central Church of Christ, 1250 SW College, Topeka, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25th, at the Central Church of Christ with graveside services following at 2:00 p.m. at the Waverly Cemetery, Waverly, Kansas.
