Description	:	Carrie Belle Barker, daughter of Stephen A. and Sarah Barker, was born October 17, 1880, at Newton, Kansas, and passed away at the Halstead Hospital, Halstead, at the age of 64 years, three months and fourteen days, after having been in failing health for several years. Her early childhood was spent in Brainard, Kansas, and Butler County. She came to Eureka at the age of seventeen and was employed by Mrs. Altors in a mililinery shop. Read More	Carrie Belle Barker, daughter of Stephen A. and Sarah Barker, was born October 17, 1880, at Newton, Kansas, and passed away at the Halstead Hospital, Halstead, at the age of 64 years, three months and fourteen days, after having been in failing health for several years. Her early childhood was spent in Brainard, Kansas, and Butler County. She came to Eureka at the age of seventeen and was employed by Mrs. Altors in a mililinery shop. She made her home with Mrs. Caddy Smith until her marriage. On October 14, 1901, she was united in marriage to Edwin Fayette Ware of Eureka. To this union were born four daughter and three sons; Sarah Alice Farr of Eureka, Stephen Elwin Ware with the Allied Military Goverment in the European area, Edward Earl of Wichita, Kansas, and James Fayette, who preceded his mother in death January 7, 1945. Mrs. Ware was a member of the Christian Church and took an active part in its activities, ecpecially of the Queen Esther Class. She was a member of the Spring Creek and Landergin farm bureau clubs, and up to the the lasst few years took an active part in the Womens's Christian Temperance Union. Mrs. Ware was a good mother, a faithful wife, and a good neighbor. She will be sadly missed by her husband and children as well as well as here two granddaughtersm seven grandsons, one great-granddaughter, two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Derrick and Mrs. Dess Williams, of Pomona, California, and three brothers, Earl Barker, of Modesto, California, Harold Barker, of Pomona, and Frank Bruce of Los Angeles. Calif. Funeral service for Mrs. Ware was held from the Christian Church, Friday at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Bert Sutton. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
