Walters, had died suddenly on Saturday night, December 3, from heart failure. Mrs. Walters being the oldest child of the late John W. and Ellen J. Campbell, moving with her husband Charles M. Walters to Orange County, Virginia, from the Newport section, where she had been born and reared, about twenty-five or thirty years ago. Campbell was notified early last Sunday morning that his oldest sister, Mrs. Carrie E. Walters, had died suddenly on Saturday night, December 3, from heart failure. Mrs. Walters being the oldest child of the late John W. and Ellen J. Campbell, moving with her husband Charles M. Walters to Orange County, Virginia, from the Newport section, where she had been born and reared, about twenty-five or thirty years ago. They purchased a farm near Orange of about 100 acres where they lived happily together and had reared a family of seven children, two preceding their mother to the grave. Mrs. Walters was 63 years of age at the time of her death and had been a devoted member of the Christian Church since childhood. The funeral services were conducted Monday by her pastor the Rev. Leake at Ehart with interment in the cemetery nearby, there to await the resurrection of the Just.
