Read More	Mrs. Jens Peter Jensen Passes On After Long Illness Mrs. Jens Peter Jensen passed on at the family home on last Thursday at 5:45 p.m. Death came after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Jensen had been bedfast for the past two years and previous to that time had been in consultation with various physicians elsewhere in the hope of finding relief for her condition, but to no avail. The shadow of the silent messenger had been upon her for many months, gradually wearing down the rugged strength that once was hers. Five days before her death she was stricken with a stoke of paralysis and after considerable suffering, answered the final summons. Mrs. Jensen was a good wife and mother and was loved and revered by her many friends and acquaintances. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock from the house and 1:30 at the Methodist church. The rites were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Minar A. Gerrard. A number of friends assembled to pay their last tribute to the departed woman. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery. Carrie Kristine Olsen was born at Lillebraend, Denmark, Jan. 19, 1862. She departed from this life at Creighton, Nebraska, Jan. 23, 1936 at the age of 74 years and 4 days. She came to America and arrived at Fremont, Nebr. July 5, 1890. In the fall of 1890 on Oct. 3 she was united in marriage to Jens Peter Jensen. To this union seven children were born. In 1898 the family moved to Plainview, Nebr., where they lived on a farm until 1917 when they moved to Creighton and resided here up to the time of her demise. She was preceded in death by a son, Hans and a daughter, Marie. Those who mourn her passing are: her husband, Jens Peter; two daughters, Mrs. Dagmar Hansen and Mrs. Anna Collen; three sons, Barnhart, William and Olaf of Creighton; the grandchildren and many friends.
