Description	:	Carrie Louise Kettelhut was born at Byron, Nebr. on March 23rd, 1884, the daughter of August and Louisa Kettelhut. She passed away Jan. 22nd, 1962 at the Blue Valley Rest Home in Hebron where she had been living. She attended school in the rural schools of Thayer County, and spent her girlhood in and around Chester. As a young girl she united with the Methodist Church in Chester, Nebr. On June 7, 1907 she was united in marriage to Paul E. Miller, who preceded her in death. She leaves as survivors, three sisters, Amelia M. Ruth of Flint, Mich., Gertrude Hammond of Greeley, Colo., and Louise Frazer of The Siding, Wyo., whom they raised as a foster daughter; two brothers, Fred Kettelhut of Omaha and Dellmer Kettelhut of Laramie, Wyo.; and a host of nieces and nephews. A sister, Rose Chapman; and two brothers, Albert Kettelhut and Paul Kettelhut, preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the Chester Methodist Church on Thursday, Jan. 25 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Thomas Perkins officiating. Mrs. Dolan Frye and Mrs. Harold Porter sang, accompanied by Mrs. Thomas Perkins at the organ. The pallbearers were H.D. Herald, Harold Porter, Fred C. Duey, Jack Chapman, W.I. Navis and Delmer Kettelhut. Interment was in the Chester cemetery (sic). Montgomery-Tibbetts-Cotter Mortuary in charge.
