Description	:	Paul Carl Kettelhut, son of August and Louise Kettelhut, was born near Byron, Nebraska, on September 4, 1882, and passed away at Mexico, Mo., on January 12, 1954. On February 20, 1907, he was united in marriage with Lottie Bell Morris. Eight children were born into their home. Read More	Paul Carl Kettelhut, son of August and Louise Kettelhut, was born near Byron, Nebraska, on September 4, 1882, and passed away at Mexico, Mo., on January 12, 1954. On February 20, 1907, he was united in marriage with Lottie Bell Morris. Eight children were born into their home. One son, Donald Ray (Jack) Kettelhut, passed away following an auto accident on September 12, 1937. Mr. Kettelhut lived near Chester all of his life. He was a member of the Chester Methodist Church uniting with it on Profession of Faith on May 2, 1924. While he was visiting in Mexico, Mo., this winter he attended services regularly and had taken Holy Communion on January 3rd. He was a member of the Chester Masonic Lodge and the Chester Odd Fellows lodge. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rose, and a brother, Albert. He is survived by his wife, Lottie; one son, Wilbur F. Kettelhut of Grand Prairie, Texas; six daughters: Mrs. Emidale Glenn of Hebron, Neb., Mrs. Doris McClure of Lyons, Colo., Mrs. Pauline Neubauer of Ovid, Colo., Mrs. Donnaline Holtzhauser of Paoli, Penn., Mrs. Wauneta Louise Buresh and Mrs. Joyce Turner of Mexico, Mo.; sixteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers: Fred Kettelhut of Omaha, Nebr., and Delmer Kettelhut of Laramie, Wyo.; and four sisters: Mrs. Amelia Ruth of Flint, Mich., Mrs. Carrie Miller of Chester, Nebr., Mrs. Gertrude Hammond of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Louise Frazer of Tie Siding, Wyo.; besides several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted in the Chester Methodist Church on January 16, 1954. Rev. James K. Irwin was the minister in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. Fred Duey, Mrs. Lawrence Eickman, Frank Larkins and Max Larkins, accompanied by Mrs. Floyd Haifleigh. Pallbearers were: E.F. Woodard, William Dry, W.L. Larkins, Julius Gausman, Oren Norman and Fred Thompson. Burial was in the Chester Cemetery
