Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie M. Nygaard, 80, were conducted Wednesday morning, June 30, at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Banitt officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Nygaard died June 27 at the Blair, Nebr. hospital. She had been living at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair. Carrie Marie Jensen, daughter of Jorgen and Maren Jensen, was born at Kallerup, Denmark, June 19, 1891. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church in Raklev, Denmark, Aug. 2, 1891. Mrs. Nygaard died June 27 at the Blair, Nebr. hospital. She had been living at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair. Carrie Marie Jensen, daughter of Jorgen and Maren Jensen, was born at Kallerup, Denmark, June 19, 1891. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church in Raklev, Denmark, Aug. 2, 1891. While she was still an infant, the family moved to the United States, settling in the vicinity of Gordon. Later, they moved to the Creighton community, where she received her schooling. On August 19, 1914, she was united in marriage to Nels P. Nygaard at Bethany Lutheran church of Plainview. They farmed in the Winnetoon area until 1917, when they moved to a farm near Royal. In 1940, they moved to Blair, farming there until 1954, when they returned to Creighton.they lived here until 1965 when, due to failing health, Mrs. Nygaard became a resident of the Good Shepherd Home. Survivors include two sons and four daughters, the Rev. Marvin Nygaard of Huxley, Ia, Vera (Clarence) Nelson and Alto (Carl) Jorgensen of Creighton, Wilma (Dale) Hill of Milton, Pa., the Rev. Gerhard Nygaard of Northfield, Minn. and Janice (Frederick) Jensen of Evan, Minn.; 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters, Anna (Hansen) Madsen and Mina (M.C.) Vinther of Omaha and Miss Bertha Jensen of Long Beach, Calif and one brother, Carl Jensen of Plainview. Her husband, parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
