Description	:	Mrs. J. K. Barbur of this city died suddenly on Thursday evening, February 11. She was attending a social gathering of the G. A. R. with her husband at the home of G. W. Frazier, when she was taken with a sudden fit of coughing and soon became so ill that Dr. Howard and the tow daughters, Mrs. Williamson and Mrs. Rasmussen, were called but none arrived in time, her husband alone of the family seeing the end, which came under such tragic conditions. Catherine Clark was born at Delaware, O., on August 21, 1844, and was married to John K. Barbur August 28, 1867, at Greenwood , Mo. To this union four children were born, Edward Barbur of near Exeter, Mrs. Carrie Craven of Norfolk, Mrs. Dorrie Williamson of Exeter, and Mrs. Rasmussen of Exeter. these with the father and seventeen grandchildren and her three brothers in Ohio mourn her death. Her only sister, Mrs. Kennard, was buried in the Exeter Cemetery some years ago. Mrs. Barbur was a charter member of the Exeter Congregational Church, of whom there are only three now living. Her previous membership was in the Congregational Church at Woodstock, Ill. The Nebraska Signal February 1915
