Description	:	Mrs. Katherine Doak Haymond, mother of Mrs. Walter Davis, died at the Davis residence on March 28th, 1912, after a very sudden attack. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 27th, 1834. In 1838, the family came to Kankakee County, Ill., where she was married, in 1851, to George Haymond, who died some ten years ago. Later, in 1860, they had come to Iowa and resided in Des Moines. Since the death of Mr. Haymond, she has spent most of her time with her daughter, Mrs. Davis. Three of the sons were present at the funeral, conducted on Monday at 10 A.M. at the Davis Home.
