Description	:	Mrs. Kate Monroe Morgan died at her home in Kansas City, Mo., Sunday morning, February 19, of pneumonia after an illness of only twenty-four hours. The body was taken to Eureka, Kansas, decedent's former home and funeral services were held Monday afternon at the home of Charles E. Moore. Mrs. Moore being Mrs. Morgan's daughter. Dr. Rolvix Harlan, pastor of Central Baptist Church, Kansas City, of which Mrs. Morgan was a member, went to Eureka to conduct the services. The body was taken to Eureka, Kansas, decedent's former home and funeral services were held Monday afternon at the home of Charles E. Moore. Mrs. Moore being Mrs. Morgan's daughter. Dr. Rolvix Harlan, pastor of Central Baptist Church, Kansas City, of which Mrs. Morgan was a member, went to Eureka to conduct the services. Kate Monore was born in Benton county, Missouri, March 10, 1840. On November 4, 1858, she united in marriage with Thomas T. Morgan with whom she lived until his death on January 17th, 1890 at Eureka, where the family had removed. Five children were born to the union, one of whom, Walter Morgan died in childhood. The others are Thomas E. Morgan of Ottawa, Mrs. Charles E. Morgan of Eureka; Parran M. Morgan of Omaha, and Miss Nell Morgan, who lived with her mother in Kansas City. Mrs. Morgan had been a member of the Baptist Church from her early womanhood and huring her life had been a firm believer in the truths of Christianity. She was a devoted wife, and the kindest and most self-sacrificing of mothers. She possessed in full measure the love of her children and was respected by all who knew her---Ottawa Republic. Mrs. Morgan had lived in Eureka from 1880 to 1903 and had many friends among the older residents here. The funeral services in which Dr. I.C. Paugh of the M.E. Church assisted were held as above stated and interment was in Greenwood cemetery. From Eureka Herald 28 Feb 1911 page 1.
