Description	:	Mrs. Henry H. (Catherine) Menke, West Point, died at 5:10 a.m. on Oct.19 at Sacred Heart hospital (Ft. Madison, IA). She had been in failing health. She was born on April 27, 1889 at St. Paul, Iowa, and was a lifelong resident of the West Point, Houghton and St. Paul communities. On January 25, 1916, she was married to Henry H. Menke at St. Paul. Read More	Mrs. Henry H. (Catherine) Menke, West Point, died at 5:10 a.m. on Oct.19 at Sacred Heart hospital (Ft. Madison, IA). She had been in failing health. She was born on April 27, 1889 at St. Paul, Iowa, and was a lifelong resident of the West Point, Houghton and St. Paul communities. On January 25, 1916, she was married to Henry H. Menke at St. Paul. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, West Point, ,the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Ann's Circle of the D of I. She was the daughter of the late Henry Holtkamp and Margaret Pomberg Holtkamp. Her husband preceded her in death on July 1, 1963. Two sister, four brother and two sons also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, James H. Menke and Arthur W. Menke, both of Houghton; three daughters, Sister Mary Bernadine Menke, Hanover, Mass., Miss Margaret Mary Menke, Alpaso, Texas, and Sister Mary Rita Menke, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one sister, Mrs. Ernest Pieper, Houghton; and six grandchildren. Rosaries were said at the Link Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Wednesday by St. Ann's Circle of the D of I, and at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening by the parish. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. John's Catholic church in Houghton, with Rev. Albert Goetzman officiating. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery (Houghton).
