BOGGS Catherine BISHOP was born Sept. 30, 1832, near Wheeling, Va., and died March, 12, 1920, aged 87 years, 5 months and 12 days. She was married to William BOGGS in 1850 [12 October 1848], in Belmont county, Ohio and came to Iowa in 1851, residing in Jefferson and Van Buren counties ever since. Mrs. BOGGS moved from Jefferson county to Business Corners, near Douds, in 1869, residing there until her death. To this union were born five children, John dying in infancy and Mary E. KISER who died in Sedgewick county, Kan. Three sons are left, James of Oklahoma, Joseph E. of near Douds and W. A. who resides at home. Six years ago she became a member of the Zion Lutheran church. She was a loving mother and kind neighbor to all. The funeral services were held at the late home Sunday morning, conducted by the pastor Rev. L. A. Hauhman of Ottumwa and interment was in the Mt. Moriah cemetery.
