Read More	Published in the Rochester(IN) Sentinel, Saturday, November 24, 2012 Catherine Brubaker June 27, 1918 - Nov. 21, 2012 Catherine Brubaker, 94, of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Community North Hospital, Indianapolis. Born in Rochester, on June 27, 1918, Catherine was the daughter of Estel and Glennie Bemenderfer. Growing up, she shared her childhood with a sister, Marguerite and two brothers, Frederick and Ned. She was a lifetime resident of Rochester, with exception of the last two years, as she moved to Berkshire Assisted Living, near Indianapolis, to be closer to her family. On Nov. 15, 1941, Catherine married Mr. Claude Brubaker at Rochester's Grace United Methodist Church. Together, they brought into this world a daughter, Cathy, while sharing over 60 years of life's adventures. Over the years, the family tree grew with the added blessings of four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was a loyal member of Grace United Methodist Church for more than 75 years. Catherine was a devoted volunteer serving Woodlawn Hospital as a grey lady. She was a member of the Eastern Star. A favorite hobby was playing bridge for years with her friends. Catherine is survived by her daughter, Cathy Wilkinson and husband Gary, of Carmel; her four grandchildren, Brian Wilkinson, Scott Wilkinson and wife Kim, Kyle Wilkinson and wife Michelle and Katie Prather and husband Mike; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Ned Bemenderfer and wife Millie, of South Bend, and several nieces and nephews. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, who passed away in June of 2002; their son, Phillip Neal Brubaker, born into Heaven; a brother, Frederick Bemenderfer and his wife Clare; and a sister, Marguerite Engelage and her husband Robert. Services celebrating the life of Catherine Brubaker are at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with visitation at 12:30 p.m. until the service. The Reverend Maurice Grindle will officiate.
