Description	:	Married Lewis Thomas 22 FEB 1849 in Kentucky. Five children were born to this union. They also had a son George McClelland Thomas born in 1866 not linked below. It was said she was buried in King Cemetery by some, it is the same as Cedar Grove Cemetery. DIED. Katherine (sic) Thomas was born on Bracken county, Ky., April 25, 1827. At the age of 14 she was united with the Methodist church. She was married to Lewis Thomas on Feb. 22, 1849. Of this union was born five children all of whom are alive and present at the obsequies. In 1850 Mrs. Thomas removed with her husband from Ky. to Mo. and settled upon the farm upon which she died. The end came suddenly at 6 o'clock Jan. 1, 1903. The next day at 2:30 p.m. the funeral was conducted by Rev. E. S. Shafer of the M. E. church, after which, the remains were laid to rest in Cedar Grove cemetery. Mrs. Thomas was a good mother, a dutiful wife, and an obliging neighbor. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their loss.
