OBITUARY —Lewis Thomas was born in Bracken County, Ky., in 1825. On February 22nd, 1844, he was united in marriage with Catherine Thomas. To this union as born five children, all of whom are living. OBITUARY —Lewis Thomas was born in Bracken County, Ky., in 1825. On February 22nd, 1844, he was united in marriage with Catherine Thomas. To this union as born five children, all of whom are living. The family removed to Missouri in 1856, where they have since resided. Thirty or thirty-five years ago Mr. Thomas united with the Universalist church and remained in that faith throughout his life. A few hours before his death he called to his bedside his children, told them he had received his call and he must soon obey the summons. He declared himself ready and spoke of seeing the loved ones gone before, and with this faith strong and firm he passed out into the great beyond on the 18th of November, 1904, at his home near Plevna. —The funeral service was conducted by Rev. S. E. Shafer, pastor of the M. E. church. The interment took place at the King cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of friends and neighbors.
