Description	:	Tipton Advertiser 27 Feb 1914 page 3 DIES IN HOSPITAL- Mrs. Catherine Seamon of the Hebron neighborhood was taken to an Iowa City hospital early in the week for a surgical operation. Siglin was born in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, Sept. 8, 1850, and died Feb. 24, 1914, at University Hospital, Iowa City, aged 63 years, 5 months and 19 days. Deceased came to Iowa 5 years of age, settled in Clayton county, and afterward moved to Fayette county, where she spent the greater part of her life. Was married to Hiram Seamons, April 18, 1878. To this union were born seven children, three sons and four daughters, one daughter dying in infancy. The husband and father, with three sons, three daughters, six grandchildren, one half brother, six brothers and three sisters survive. She was converted at the age of 16 and united with the Evangelical church retaining her connection until 16 years ago, when with her husband she joined the United Brethren church at Center Grove, of which she has been a member since. Rev. Ingram preached an impressive sermon from the words: "I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith." 2 Tim., 4:7, after which interment was made in the Hebron cemetery. Contributor: daisy (48425018) •
